Sometimes our minds are so flooded with thoughts that we can’t even think clearly.  We are bombarded with questions about what we should or should not do.  We have concerns about what we’ve done in the past, what we’re doing right now, and what we will do in the future.  We want to make godly decisions, but we hear so many voices in our mind that we’re afraid to do anything.  We wonder if the voice we hear is from God, from Satan, the world, or even our own self.  It can all be so overwhelming and so confusing.  We don’t know which way to turn.  When you find yourself in this situation, what can you do?  Ask God to help you quiet the voices in your head.  Ask Him to help you hear His voice only.  And remember, that He is the God of peace, not chaos.  When He speaks to you, it is never confusing or uncertain. Spend time in His Word, for often He speaks most clearly in its pages. The closer you grow to God, the more you will recognize His voice…and suddenly, all of the other voices will not ring so loudly in your ears.
