I think all of us know the good feeling that comes from helping out another person.  We also know how good it feels to be the person who is receiving the help.  Sometimes, however, I think we feel that only helping one person isn’t that big of a deal.  We can convince ourselves that, unless we are helping out masses of people, our help isn’t of any value.  However, God doesn’t care if we are helping one person or one thousand people…He just cares that we are helping.  We may tell ourselves that our efforts really don’t matter because it’s not going to make a real difference in the world, but I think we have our perspective all wrong.  What we need to focus on is the fact that we may change that person’s world.  We never know how much one simple gesture can mean to another person.  We may not even realize that what we’ve done is of any significance at all, but to the person we are helping, it may be the most significant thing that ever happens to them.  Our job is not to worry about the results of our efforts…our job is to be obedient to what God calls us to do.  The results of our efforts are His responsibility. He, and He alone, can take our efforts and change the world of one person or the entire world.  Don’t let Satan convince you that what you do is of no value because God values everything you do.
